Historic

The research activities of this laboratory are directly linked with the early implantation of the first brazilian Mechatronics course, by EPUSP in 1988. In this pioneering course they were introduced disciplines in the areas of “sequential systems” and “control of production systems”, with emphasis on automated manufacturing, involving the formation of new researchers, design tools, and didatic materials.

In this sense in 1989 have already been offered the first disciplines of the EPUSP graduate course in the areas of “discrete event systems” and “computer-integrated manufacturing”.

By this effort, as a result of the activities of this laboratory, until now it accounts the formation of more than 25 specialist researchers, more than one hundred publications and several didatic materials including books and design tools.
